The Bodenberg system

Short description

 

 

We have found three major surveying centers, from which connecting lines (Orthodrome) radiate:

Externsteine,

Orthberg  and the place where

Zwettl Monastery stands now.

 

   On each of the four orthodromes radiating from the Externsteine there are two mountains. (Bodenberge H-A  /  E-F and Bubenberge 5-3  /  4-1).

 

   The same applies to the two bearing lines coming from the Orthberg (Oberurff-Schiffelborn near Bad Zwesten). (D-G / H-4)  

 

   Connecting lines also radiate from the place where Zwettl Monastery stands now .

 

      Bubenberg 4 and the Bodenberge D and E, as well as Bodenberge F and G are located on common parallel lines (latidude circles).

 

   The connection between Bodenberg H and Bubenberg 2 is an exact North-South line.

 

 

The parallel line FG was continued with a sight line GC3 that starts exactly to the west.

 

Since we could not find any historical or archaeological reports on the geometric arrangement of these mountains, we assume that this far-reaching geometry was installed in prehistoric times.

It is interesting that there are so many latitude and longitude-circle connections to the Bodenberge.
